Something was not right in the infil mission. You only get spotted if you come too close, if you're at orange detection warning, you will not trigger aggro. You were only at orange, not even red. I think I saw what happened: your lancemates tried to follow you, but ignored the pathing and went straight for the enemy, triggering them instantly. Eh, we told you to go alone! An infil fight is not one you can win, it triggers endless spawns. A reload is acceptable, as it's glitchy AI, not you. I guess you've learned the hard way!

Do ANY mechs suck or are they all pretty much deities on the battle field? Do one on the Urbanmech. Tell us how that trash can with legs just dumps all over the enemy!!! 😂 I'm really just kidding. I do enjoy your content. You have a great voice for what you're doing. Would love your voice for the books I listen too.

On infiltration missions, I take a light scout mech as everyone describes to explore the field of operations. I also bring friends of heavy or assault mechs and park them well within allied lines weapons hot. The backup usually stays a safe distance from detection, but can be called in to cause destructive distractions if the scout gets detected. Am I wrong in this tactic?

Going geek mode here. The Crusader wasn't adopted by the clans. They left with Star League equipment. Star League era battlemechs became second line units once the omnimech was designed. These were introduced to us as IIc mechs later in the story line.

I got into playing Mechwarrior 5 recently and Centurion is hands down my favourite mech i got to play so far. I especially love the missiles and may or may not have swapped the autocannon for rifle just so i can pack more missiles

PPC-Xs are stupid fun. I'm playing vanilla, running an Orion with a trio of them. Chainfire never stops, and the alpha feels satisfying as hell.

If you have problems with areospacefighter mission in the future: there are 3 ppc ravager turrets scattered around that you can find. they help alot in the aerospace missions

That Firestarter with 8x MGs and some Small/Medium Laser Arrays would be terrifying. It'd require an XL to manage heat and equip a MLA, but good god that's a terrifying mech.

From what I saw on mod discussions page TTrulez AI mod seems to break Infiltration missions causing instant detection. So got to either avoid them or disable the mod. Also Arena missions been added after last update which explains oddities.

I don't ever remember a Daishi being in game with the clans. Sadly. I may be wrong correct me.

Bara I always love the Beachhead Missions. I did a trick that will allow The base defenses to surrender and fight on your side. It works best with Small and maybe Medium Size Base. That way when the commander of Base calls them to attack they haven’t spawn yet. So for that reason stay away from it and go to the last sat Base and wait. Eventually the base surrenders. Take out the last dish and get to the capture base and boom! The defenses will spawn and fight with you. Combine with whatever forces your Employer gives out you can have a good fighting force. Maybe a full company. Mechs Armor Air or mix.

Slow missions with the Solaris contracts but the infiltration went pear shaped almost as soon as you crossed into their territory. That might have required a slightly different approach to actually sneak in. At the same time, you do have your stealthy Dervish that you could have used.

Hilarious that Discount Dan has products in MW5 now. Although using Discount Dan's items seems to be considered a cheat. Good video Bara. 🙂

Infiltration is actually very easy to play imo. Just solo in a fast light with JJs and enough firepower to deal with tanks and turrets. I always go full extra points on money cus if you play that right, you wont get much salvage anyways. That means you keep the engagement to a minimum and only kill when absolutely necessary. Never engage with enemy mechs either cus often times there're more than one in one spot and you wont be able to take them all down in time before they raise the alarm.

I thought YAML gave all mechs spotlights.

Don't forget you have a cantina ready for turn in but I'm only a third way in on the video........

The mods like Coyote and AI makes the enemy mechs see you way different than what the infiltration missions are made for, did you read up before picking them all? xD

My guess on that infiltration mission is 1 of 2 things, either the mission bugged and enemies could spot you no matter where you were even with no sensors, or one of the mechs had one of those cheaty C3 leopard links and had you on sensors the whole time which is more likely since you were spotted instantly when you entered the enemies territory. whatever the case it was one very expensive fireworks display and I'm wondering how you'll recover from this lol

Hi Baradul, you may want to lose TTrulez for now until it's updated b/c that's what is making opponents so passive in arena missions. Anyway, lancemate AI is not so bad as of late as long as you keep them on a tight leash w/ proper formation / stop firing orders

you NEED to give the crab stronger/more armor if not both. also wouldn't the crab benefit more from the clan mediums than the wolfhound? ER C M has the same range as an inner sphere L iirc doesn't it?

In the infiltration mission you were spotted. To sneak properly, you want to take a single mech equipped with Null Sig, a high engine and full jump jets. Stealth mission.

bara for infiltration you just need to complete one objective : just take a salvage and you can go if necessary

After this episode, I feel like I need another ASAP!
